IFDA Weekly Reminder for Saturday, October 21, 2017


Last Saturday, October 14th, Zeke gave us another superb evening of dancing and Zeke taught a nice Csango dance, "Arcanul."  WELL DONE ZEKE and THANK YOU!   
 
For this upcoming Saturday, October 21st, Andy returns as the evening's programmer and dances to be reviewed/taught are TBD.  DON'T MISS a GREAT EVENING of DANCING with ANDY - COME AND DANCE WITH US!

THE IFDA HALLOWEEN PARTY IS AROUND THE CORNER WITH THE TURKISH WORKSHOP NEXT……...

October 22, Sunday, Music From The Hills, hosted by John Uhlemann, 4 - 6 p.m., KDHX - 88.1 FM.  John will be playing odds and ends and stuff he has run across lately and liked.  There will also be a preview of some the things he and Barbara heard in Hungary (and will be teaching at IFDA).

(UPDATED) October 28, Saturday, IFDA Halloween Party.  Dress in your favorite costume (ONLY IF YOU WANT TO).  Bring your favorite Halloween Munchies.  For everyone's enjoyment a Plethora of Halloween Delicacies - Toasted Bat Wings with Grim Reaper Dip, Honey Dipped Grave Yard Worms, Golden Spicy Spider Legs, Stringy Blood Veins and Vampire Bloody Punch with Floating Eyeballs will also be served.

NOTE:  We will have two additions to the Halloween table, Evanora the wicked witch of the East will be serving Golden Spicy Spider Legs and Mr. Bones will be doing a Halloween Jig.  And as usual, The Hand will be serving Toasted Bat Wings.

November 3-5, Turkish Workshop featuring Ahmet Luleci with Evren Soytopcu Kiyak.  Ahmet is one of the most charismatic folk dance teachers ever seen in St. Louis.  He has taught and choreographed for many dance companies in Turkey and other countries including serving as the resident choreographer for the famed AMAN Dance Ensemble.  Evren has performed professionally around the world with several dance companies and is a master teacher who has taught on four continents.  Additional information about Ahmet can be found at: http://www.luleci.com.
