Last Saturday, September 14th, it was another outstanding evening of dancing with Sarah as the evening's programmer and Andy re-taught the Albanian dance "Valle Ksovar, he taught last Saturday.  THANK YOU SARAH and ANDY for another GREAT EVENING of DANCING and TEACHING at Saturday Night Folk Dance!

Note:  We want to express our most deepest condolences to Diana Blanchard and her family for the loss of Bill Blanchard who passed away on September 10.  Our hearts and thoughts are with Diana and her family and Bill will be deeply missed by us all. 

For this upcoming Saturday, September 21st, Andy is up as the evening's programmer and there will be no teach.  YOU CAN'T GO WRONG with an EVEING of DANCING with ANDY - COME AND DANCE WITH US!

IT'S HARD TO BELIVE THAT SUMMER IS WINDING UP AND AUTUMN IS ON THE HORIZON THAT BEGINS OUR WONDERFUL FALL EVENTS STARTING WITH BULGARIKA, THEN THE BULGARIAN DANCE WORKSHOP, ENDING WITH THE IFDA HALLOWEEN PARTY.  BUT THAT'S NOT THE END…..STAY TUNNED FOR OUR WONDERFUL WINTER EVENTS!

September 21, Saturday, 12:15 - 12:45 p.m., at the Spencer Road Branch of the St. Charles City-County Library, 427 Spencer Road, St. Peters MO, 63376-2420.  Cathy Swanson will be hosting International Folk Dancing in the Youth Programming Room at the How-to Festival event.  Admission is free, but please register online in the Classes & Events calendar at (here).  John Uhlemann will be teaching a selection simple folk dances.  All IFDA Folk Dancers are welcome to attend.  For additional information about this event, contact Cathy Swanson at: cswanson@mail.win.org.

September 28, Saturday, Live Music with BULGARIKA featuring Temelko Ivanov (Kaval), Nikolay Kodzhabeshev (tambura), Nikolay Kolev (gudulka), Marin Chalamov (tupan) and Donka Koleva (vocals).  Suggested donation $15.

October 3, Thursday, 7 - 8:30 p.m., Folk Dancing For Fun (5th Class) at the Middendorf-Kredell Branch of the St. Charles City-County Library, 2750 Highway K, O'Fallon, Mo. 63368. Hosted by Cathy Swanson from IFDA.  No experience or partner necessary.  There is no admission cost, but please register online in the Classes & Events calendar at (here) or call the Library at (636) 978-7997.  For additional information or if you would like to teach one or more dances at future Thursday evening sessions at this library contact Cathy Swanson at: cswanson@mail.win.org

October 4-6, Bulgarian Dance Workshop Featuring Iliana Bozhanova (dance teacher and singer) and Todor Yankov (accordionist and singer).  Admission: $70 for 5 workshop sessions and Saturday Night Dance Party or $15 per workshop session.  Lunches are $5 each.
